How the daily and monthly races work
Two leaderboards, fixed prizes and no entry fee. Here is what counts, when the clock resets and how to race sensibly.
Races are our way of adding something on top for the members who are most active. There are two of them. The Daily Race shares $50 among the ten highest earners of the day, and the Monthly Race shares $2,500 among the top twenty-five of the calendar month. You never sign up and you never pay to enter. If you earn anything during the period, you are already on the leaderboard.
Your position is decided by one number: how much you earned from offers and surveys during the period. Streak bonuses, promo codes, referral commissions and race prizes themselves are not counted, which keeps the race about activity rather than about who was handed the biggest bonus. An amount is added to your race total at the moment it is credited to your balance. A game step you finished on the 30th but that was confirmed on the 1st counts for the new month.
Both races run on UTC. The daily board closes at midnight UTC and the monthly board closes when the last day of the month ends, again in UTC. Depending on where you live, the daily reset may fall in the middle of your afternoon or the middle of your night, so look at the countdown on the race page rather than the clock on your wall. A fresh board opens the moment the old one closes.
The prizes are fixed per place and published in advance, and nothing is drawn at random. Two rules decide what a place is actually worth to you. There is a minimum: earn less than it during the race and a ranked place pays nothing. And a prize is never larger than what you earned in that race yourself, so a first place finisher who earned $30 in the window receives $30 rather than the headline figure. The race page states both rules with the figures that apply today, and the prize it shows beside your name is what settlement would pay right now.
Settlement is not instant, and that is deliberate. A race is paid a few days after its window closes, once partner confirmations have settled: we review the top of the board for rewards that partners later reversed, for duplicate accounts and for activity that breaks partner rules. Reversed earnings are removed from the race total as well. Prizes are credited to winners' balances in one go when that check is done, so the final standings can still shift after the countdown reaches zero.
A word on racing sensibly. The most reliable way up the board is to finish offers you have already started, because the later steps of a game pay far more than the first ones. Long offers confirmed in the same month can lift you dozens of places at once. The Daily Race is often decided by a few dollars, so a focused hour of surveys can be enough for a paid place on a quiet day. What never makes sense is spending more inside a game than the offer and the prize pay back. Race with your time, not with your wallet.
